Pakistan and India will play short series in December-January comprising three ODIs and two Twenty20 internationals. This is the first series between two sides since end-2004 when Pakistan toured India.
The step was taken by BCCI at its meeting on Monday. Rajiv Shukla, a BCCI official announced the plan was to held three one-day internationals in Chennai, Delhi and Kolkata, and the Twenty20 matches in Ahmadabad and Bangalore.
"The BCCI was firm that no India-Pakistan series will be held at a neutral venue so it was decided to invite them [Pakistan] after December 22 when the England team leaves after playing the Twenty20 Internationals," Shukla said. This series will also help relation between two countries which was snapped following the Mumbai terror attacks in November 2008.
